Health Savings Accounts (HSA's)

25% of Parelius' Clientbase have adopted HSA's

A Health Savings Account (HSA) allows individuals to pay for qualified health expenses and save for future qualified medical and retiree expenses on a tax-free basis. An HSA is similar to an Individual Retirement Account (IRA). Like an IRA, an HSA is established for the benefit of an individual, is owned by that individual and is "portable." Thus, if the individual is an employee who changes employers or leaves employment, the HSA stays with the individual.


Human Resource Services

All clients receive a base package of HR Services at no cost including access to an HR professional, newsletters, seminars and more.

Basic Member Package includes:

Human Resources Forms Library: A single source of forms, letters, checklists, memos and templates

Phone Support/Triage/Mentoring: (up to 4 calls, max 1 hour/year) When the unexpected happens and you're feeling overwhelmed, we will work through the crisis at hand and provide tools for your use

Annual Seminars: You will be invited to 6 off-site seminars dealing with HR trends and legal issues

Training Workshops: (offered quarterly at per person fee)

Web Access: Online forms, policies, and informational updates. We can handle most questions regarding specific situations and/or needs by email. Your peace of mind is just a click away

HR Newsletter: We will deliver via email a monthly HR newsletter to keep you up to speed on legislative changes and HR trends

Discounted HR Projects Services at $150/hour: Use our resources to increase your output, deal with employee issues, compliance or simply to deal with the unexpected


Cobra

There are two types of Cobra: Cal Cobra and Federal Cobra

Cal Cobra is for groups of 2-19 employees. Employers responsibility is only to notify carrier of an employee qualifying event (such as termination). Cal Cobra will exhaust after two segments of 18 months for a total of 36 months.

Federal Cobra is for groups of 20 or more employees. It is employer's responsibility to manage entire Cobra process. Parelius Insurance offers two no cost solutions; OnQue, a software program or outsourcing the Cobra administration.


Human Resource Information System (HRIS)

HRCONNECT is an online, integrated Human Resources Management System that meets ALL of an employer's and employee's needs. It summarizes all benefit plans and provides contact information for all carriers, enrollment forms and other important information.

Premium Only Plans (POP) - Employee contributions before tax

Cafeteria Plans - Parelius does not pay for costs associated with Cafeteria Plans (unreimbursed medical, daycare dependent account, transit account)


Personalized Employee Enrollment Kits

Parelius customizes employee enrollment kits, including benefit ID cards, carrier applications, plan summaries and HR compliant documents.
